# Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of this website, including the medical disclaimer, what to do in an emergency, and how payment and cancellation work.

## Using this website

By using this website, you agree to these Terms of Use. Please use the site only if you agree to them.

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes, and never to misuse it, disrupt it, or try to access it without permission.

## General education only

The information on this website is for general education and does not constitute medical advice or create a physician-patient relationship. For care, please schedule an appointment.

A doctor-patient relationship begins only after the first visit, once Dr. McDade confirms telepsychiatry can meet the patient's needs.

For questions about your own health, talk with a qualified health professional, and rely on their advice over anything you read here.

## Emergencies

If you need help now

If you are in crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 or chat at [988lifeline.org](https://988lifeline.org/) to reach the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. If you are Deaf or hard of hearing, use your preferred relay service or dial 711, then 988. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. This practice does not provide emergency services.

## Payment and cancellation

Health & Harmony Psychiatry is a cash-pay practice. It does not take insurance, and fees are due at the time of your visit. Major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards are accepted; checks are not. You receive a [good faith estimate](https://www.healthandharmonypsychiatry.com/good-faith-estimate?hsLang=en) before your first visit.

Please give at least 24 hours notice to cancel or reschedule a visit. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, or missed without notice, may be charged the visit fee, so that time can be offered to another patient who needs it.

Dr. McDade may decline to form the relationship; if that happens, any prepaid amount is refunded in full and referrals are provided.
