Do I have to live in California to be seen?

You need to be physically located in California (or Texas) at the time of your visit. Care is available to residents of both states by secure video.

Where in California does Dr. McDade serve?

All of California. She has close ties to the Bay Area and cares for patients in San Francisco, Pleasanton, and across the state by secure video, so where you live in California does not limit your access.

Can a psychiatrist prescribe medication online in California?

Yes. Dr. McDade provides medication management by video for California patients, and many psychiatric medications can be prescribed this way. Certain controlled substances are available only to patients who reside in Texas, so she will be clear about your options at your first visit.

How much does care cost in California?

Care is cash pay. A new evaluation is $465, follow-up visits with Dr. McDade are $275, and follow-up visits with our physician assistant are $195. Aetna is also accepted, with a good faith estimate before your first visit.
